Longhorns are the ultimate maternal suckler cow, milky with high butterfat levels, longhorn reared calves are known to bloom. Cows are very fertile and suit a variety of systems, as well as being capable of out wintering. Longhorn and Longhorn X females are also well known to be exceptionally easy calving due to their wide deep pin bones and so are sought after in both pedigree and commercial systems.
